English made 12-gauge game shotgun with 25” nitro proved chopper lump steel barrels that are fit with ejectors, 2-3/4” chambers, Churchill quick-sighting tapered narrow raised solid matte flat-top rib and steel front white bead sight. Top of the rib near breech is gold-inlayed with "XXV" inside a diamond. Chokes are Improved Cylinder and Modified. Top of the right barrel is roll marked "E.J. CHURCHILL. (GUNMAKERS) LTD." while the top of the left barrel is roll marked "ORANGE ST, GUNWORKS. LEICESTER SQUARE, LONDON." Patina finished sidelock action is adorned with traditional Rose & Scroll engraving pattern with "E.J. CHURCHILL." on both lockplates in action bar. "THE FIELD MODEL XXV" with 'XXV" gold-inlaid on bottom of the action body. There are gold-inlaid "3" upon the top lever, rib near breech and fore-end escutcheon. The action body is fit with a hidden third fastener (treble grip), double triggers protected by a blacked and engraved trigger guard which extends to a full length bottom tang that is engraved and with the gun's serial number, top lever is blacked, engraved and the left side of the thumb piece is checkered, "SAFE" is in gold ahead of the automatic checkered and engraved slide safety. Best quality walnut stock with straight hand grip, point pattern checkering with borders, drop points and gold-inlaid "IR" on the toe line. Splinter fore-end with matching checkering and Anson type push button release with engraved escutcheon and center diamond. 14-5/8" LOP to a checkered 1-1/2" wooden stock extension, 7 Lbs. - 3 Oz.
