This exquisitely made Belgium gun is built with dovetail 27 - 1/2" and with 2 - 3/4" chambered barrels. Barrels with ejectors, tapered concave matte game rib with brass round front bead sight. Barrel flats stamped "12-70". Barrels are choked Improved Modified and Full. The barrels are nitro proofed. Lumps are stamped "Griffin & Howe". Holland & Holland styled sidelock action built between the wars, "The Golden Years" as they say. The sidelock action is built with hidden third fastener, disk set strikers, gas escapes, and cocking indicators. The coin finish full coverage scroll engraved action is fitted with matching engraved top lever with checkered thumb piece, non-auto safe, safety slide is checkered and engraved, "S" lightly engraved and double triggers with front being articulated. Triggers are protected by the scrolled trigger guard that extends to a long bottom partially engraved tang. A dark reddish-brown European walnut stock with fine line checkering is finished with diamond cut checkering at butt. The matching forend has lightly engraved escutcheon, fully engraved rear iron metal and checkered Anson styled push-button release. Inner forend iron and water tables are case colored.
