A double square bridge Mauser M98 type bolt action rifle chambered for the .500 Jeffery cartridge. Its blacked 24” steel barrel has a stippled spearpoint quarter rib with gold line express rear sights - 1 standing (50 Yds) and 1 folding (100 Yds), barrel band ramp with folding hood and white tipped front sight and barrel band sling swivel stud. The double square bridge action has a 3 position Winchester Model 70 type wing safety with both "SAFE" and arrow in gold on bolt shroud. The straddle floorplate has an enraved gold inlay elephant in lightly stippled ground oval and engraved "HOLLAND & HOLLAND" and ".500 JEFFERY". The floorplate, trigger guard and steel cap box are border scroll engraved. Foliate (Rosette) scrolls on steel ends of dual cross bolts, trap door of steel cap box, action screws and end of 3 panel stippled bolt handle. Top of barrel engraved "HOLLAND & HOLLAND BRUTON STREET, LONDON." ".500 JEFFERY" is engraved on top of the spearpoint quarter rib. The deluxe quality European walnut stock has a shadow line (beaded) cheek piece, pistol hand grip with metal cap box, ebony forend tip, gold stock oval and sling swivel stud. 15 inch length of pull to a 7/8" burgundy color leather covered recoil pad. Maker's full length leather travel case with accessories (oil bottle,H&H burgundy canas sling, one piece cleaning rod and cleaning tools).
