English made 16 gauge boxlock game shotgun. The 28” blacked steel barrels that are fit with extractors, 2-1/2” chambers, tapered smooth concave game rib with extension and a steel bead front sight and are choked improved cylinder and improved modified. Top of rib near breech is roll marked 'CHARLES BOSWELL MAKER 126 STRAND LONODN .W.C.'. Barrel flats have both original London and new (2000) Birmingham nitro proof marks. The coin finish boxlock action is adorned with game scene vignettes with supporting tight English Arabesque scrolls with 'CHARLES BOSWELL' on both sides of the action body above the game scene vignettes. The right side of the action body has 2 pointers on point in a field, the left side has 3 pheasants walking, the bottom has 3 birds and the trigger guard has a dog on point for 2 birds. The boxlock action body is fit with concealed crossbolt third fastener that goes through the rib extension, double triggers protected by an engraved trigger guard which extends to an engraved long bottom strap, the left side thumb piece of the engraved top lever is checkered, 'SAFE' is ahead of the automatic checkered safety slide. Best quality walnut stock with straight hand grip, checkered stock panels, drop points, vacant stock oval and point pattern checkering. Splinter fore-end with matching checkering and Anson type push button release, 14-3/4" LOP to a scored plastic buttplate, 5 Lbs. - 13 Oz.
