This exquisite and beautiful Holland & Holland shotgun was specailly ordered by a private client and is designed to be used as a backup tool for use on safari while hunting thin skin dangerous game. The 12 gauge sidelock ejector shotgun is built with 24” chopper lump barrels, 3" magnum chambers and a full length rib. The chokes in both barrels are Skeet. In gold on the rib is an engraved ribbon with "HOLLAND & HOLLAND 12 BORE" inside, the number "2" in gold and scrolls. The breech ends of the barrels have gold wire inlays. Standing gold line rear sight regulated for 35 yards and a gold tipped bladed front sight. The action body is adorned with bold foliate scroll engraving and a flourish of gold inlays. The left side of action body has "SIMBA" in gold inlay while the right side has a gold inlay portrait of a male lion (SIMBA) and the bottom a leopard in gold inlay. Double triggers protected by an engraved trigger guard with rolled edge on right hand side with serial number in gold on long bottom tang, Gold line cocking indicators, "SAFE" in gold ahead of engraved and checkered slide non-automatic safety. Deluxe quality Turkish walnut with English straight hand grip, drop points and engraved stock oval. Splinter forend with Anson type release, 14-1/4" LOP to a rubber recoil pad, 7 Lbs.
