The 24" chopper-lump blacked rifled steel barrels with Ferlach proofs are fitted with ejectors, doll's head rib extension third fastener, an engraved spearpoint quarter rib, gold-lined express rear sight - 1-standing marked "50" and 1-folding leaf marked "100", engraved spearpoint tipped blade front sight and stud for sling on underside of the barrel. Top of the quarter rib is gold-inlaid "Cal. 500 N.E. 3" ", The coin finished bolstered sidelock action is adorned with full coverage English Arabesque scroll engraving by Matschiunia, each lockplate is gold-inlaid "HAMBRUSCH-FERLACH" in a banner and bottom of the action body features a carved scene recreating a famous photograph taken by A.C. Gomes known as the Kilimanjaro Tusks. The scene is of two men holding gold-inlaid Kilimanjaro Tusks with an antique Zanzibar door in the background. The Kilimanjaro Tusks remain the heaviest recorded modern elephant tusks weighing a combined - 209 kg (460 lb.). The left tusk weighed 105.2 kg (232 lb.) and the right 103.5 kg (228 lb.). These tusks are said to have belonged to an elephant bull captured on the slopes of the Kilimanjaro by an Omani hunter working for Tippu Tip in 1898 who had trailed it for weeks. The tusks now reside in the British Museum. The engraver's signature is on the right side of the trigger plate. The action is fitted with hand-detachable locks, disc-set strikers, cocking indicators, and double triggers with the front being articulated and protected by a blacked and engraved trigger guard extending to a long bottom strap with the gun's serial number that is gold-inlaid and a non-automatic safety. The engraved top strap over comb has gold-inlaid "S" ahead of the engraved and serrated slide safety. Nicely figured reddish-brown walnut stock with pistol hand grip fit with an engraved blued steel grip cap with gold-Inlaid "FREDSTON" over gold-inlaid arch consisting of multiple squares, beaded cheekpiece, point pattern checkering with borders and inlaid stud for sling on toe-line. Similarly checkered semi-beavertail fore-end with engraved Deely style lever release. 14-3/4" LOP over a 3/4" black "Decelerator" rubber recoil pad. 12 Lbs.
