A 12 gauge game gun with 27” nitro proved dovetail barrels that are fit with ejectors, 2” chambers, tapered smooth concave game rib and steel front bead. Top of rib is engraved 'SKIMIN & WOOD. BIRMINGHAM." and in gold is engraved "FOR 2 INCH CASE ONLY". Chokes are Cylinder and Full. Trace case color finish (more in protected areas) scalloped boxlock action is adorned with English Arabesque scroll engraving with "SKIMIN & WOOD" in banner on both sides of the action body. Underside of action body blacked with similar enraving. The action body is fit with double triggers protected by an engraved trigger guard which extends to a bottom strap that is also engraved and the gun's serial number, blacked top lever is engraved and the left side of the thumb piece is checkered, "SAFE" ahead of the automatic engraved and checkered safety slide. Best quality walnut stock with straight hand grip, two panel checkering and an engraved stock oval. Splinter fore-end with matching checkering and Anson type push button release, 14-1/4" LOP to a scored butt, 5 Lbs. 4 Oz.
