An antique English made sidelock ejector 12 gauge game gun with 28" blacked round nitro proved dovetail barrels that are fit with ejectors, a swamped tapered smooth concave game rib and a steel bead front sight. Proved for 2-1/2" cartridges and choked skeet & improved modified. The rib is roll marked "HOLLAND & HOLLAND 98 NEW BOND STREET, LONDON". The patina case color hardened finished (more in protected areas) action body and lockplates are adorned with partial coverage English Arabesque scrolls with borders on both the lockplates and fences. Both lockplates are engraved "HOLLAND & HOLLAND" near the bottom of the action's bar and "PATENT EJECTOR" on bottom of the action body. Gold-inlaid number "1" upon the top lever, rib near breech and forend tip.The action is fit with gas escapes, cocking indicators, a blacked engraved top lever with the left side of the thumbpiece checkered and an automatic safety with gold-inlaid "SAFE" ahead of the scored and engraved safety slide. The double triggers are protected by an engraved trigger guard ending in a long bottom strap with the gun's serial number. Best quality walnut stock with straight hand grip, drop points, engraved stock oval with "W.S." engraved and a splinter fore-end with Anson type push button release. 14-3/8" LOP to a 7/8" brown leather covered recoil pad, 6 Lbs. - 8 Oz. Gun resides in the maker's single leather case.
