A matched pair of 12 gauge boxlock ejector shotguns with 28" nitro proved barrels that feature Westley's Model "C" Doll's Head rib extension third fastener and tapered smooth concave swamped ribs. The ribs are fit with brass bead front sights. The right barrels are choked Skeet and the left barrel is choked Full. Proved for 2-1/2 cartridges. Top of the right barrels are marked "WESTLEY RICHARDS 178 NEW BOND ST LONDON". Top of the left barrels are marked "WHITWORTH FLUID COMPRESSED STEEL". Underside of the barrels have the serial numbers, "W.R CM", Whitworths Wheat Sheaf stamp, and "STEEL". Barrel flats have Birmingham nitro proof marks. The barrels were re-proofed by the Birmingham proof house. The coin finished scalloped action bodies are adorned with fine English Arabesque scrolls with "Westley Richards" in a banner on both sides. "WESTLEY RICHARDS PATENT EJECTOR" engraved on top of the action body. "SAFE" on gold ahead of the engraved and scored safety slide. Numbers "1" and "2" are engraved in gold on top levers and ribs near breach while they are not in gold on the interior metal of forends. Bottom of the action bodies are blacked. The action is fit with smooth double triggers that are protected by trigger guards extending to long bottom straps with serial numbers engraved. Top levers and trigger guards/bottom straps are also blacked. The action flats are stamped with Birmingham View Marks and "DEELEY'S PATENT EJECTOR 7523". Nicely figured walnut stocks with straight hand grips and vacant stock ovals. Splinter forends with Anson style push button releases. 15" LOP's over checkered butts, Cast Off 1/4" at face, 6 Lbs. 1 Oz. The shotguns are presented in a oak and leather trunk case.
