Scalloped-back boxlock ejector 12-gauge game gun with 28" blacked round nitro proved dovetail barrels that are fitted with ejectors, a tapered smooth concave game rib and a steel bead front sight. Proved for 2-3/4" cartridges and choked improved cylinder & modified. The right barrel is roll-marked "HOLLAND & HOLLAND" while the left barrel reads "33 BRUTON STREET LONDON". The rib is marked in script "The Northwood". The case color hardened finished action body and blacked bottom cover plate are adorned with partial coverage English Arabesque scrolls. Both sides of the action body are engraved "HOLLAND & HOLLAND" and "THE NORTHWOOD" on the action body's bottom cover plate. The action is fitted with a blacked engraved top lever with the left side of the thumbpiece checkered and an automatic safety with gold-inlaid "SAFE" ahead of the checkered and engraved safety slide. The double triggers featuring smooth, case color hardened finished blades that are protected by an engraved trigger guard ending in a long bottom strap with the gun's serial number. Best quality walnut stock with straight hand grip, fine point pattern checkering with borders, vacant stock oval and a splinter fore-end with similar checkering, Anson type push button release with engraved escutcheon and center diamond. 14-3/4" LOP to a checkered butt, 6 Lbs. - 7 Oz. Gun resides in the maker's single Rexhide trunk case.
